GetHuman-poporan:OMG, what a nightmare! Straight Talk assured me that my Motorola Verizon phone was compatible with Straight Talk so I purchased a SIM card and a call plan. But from the get go, I had no data at all, so couldn't access the internet. Then I had to travel for work and was an hour's drive away and every single call I attempted on my cell phone had to be a collect call. I had been in contact with Straight Talk SO many times on the phone and a couple of times via e-mail, and must have chalked up at least seven to ten hours of call time with a ton of customer service reps, who would insist that if I turned my phone off*on, everything would be fine. I did that many times but it just didn't work. Then I was told to find out how to reset my phone to factory settings in order to change the APN name. I researched how to reset the phone and did so (and lost all my contact information and old texts), but changing the APN name didn't help either. Still no data service. The customer service reps would hang up on me after an hour on the phone. By regulation, I was supposed to talk to a supervisor after ** minutes on the phone, but either a supervisor was not available (so I kept holding), or when I finally got to speak to a supervisor, she hung up on me too! I've never been so upset or frustrated with a company like I am with Straight Talk. I called tonight and demanded a full refund, but of course I had to speak with the refund department. After holding on for ** minutes (in *-minute segments), there was still no one from the refund department who would come to the phone. When I asked that someone from the refund department contact me, I was told, "You know what? You've been on the phone for more than ** minutes so I need to put a supervisor on the phone." And I waited again. Finally the supervisor came on the phone, and I had to explain to her again why I was calling, and how frustrated I was because I've spent SO many hours on the phone with Straight Talk and no one could help me. And after listening to me, she said I needed to speak to someone in the refund department. No doodoo! She said I'll need to hold. And I did until five minutes later, I realized that she actually hung up on me. I called again and the customer service rep put me directly to the refund department, and I held for the next available person. She came on and after explaining AGAIN my situation, she said she needed to check on some information. Then she asked me exactly how much I had paid for the calling plan. So I had to access my credit card statement to give her the exact amount. Then she hung up on me! Can you believe it??? I will NEVER EVER again do business with Straight Talk. What a bunch of unprofessional fly-by-night crooks.
